Charcos de la Virgen – Mini Organic Titanium Earrings
Not every pool on this coast is wild. This one is small enough to miss if you’re not looking — a little basin worn into volcanic rock that locals call a natural jacuzzi. The titanium is textured by hand with repoussé, raised into small, uneven dots like pebbles settled into a rock bed, then hand-anodised into the same iridescent violet-to-teal shift as Charco del Diablo, only quieter, closer to the skin.
- ✓ Hypoallergenic — Grade 1 pure titanium, the kind used in medical implants, gentle on sensitive ears
- ✓ Feather-light — about 45% lighter than steel, wear it all day and forget it’s there
- ✓ Built for island life — sea-water and corrosion proof
- ✓ Hand-repoussé and hand-anodised in Tenerife, in small batches

The story behind Charco de la Virgen
In La Jaca, on Tenerife’s south-east coast in Arico, a small pool sits in the volcanic rock — modest next to the dramatic pools nearby, and at high tide the sea covers it completely. Locals call it Charco de la Virgen, the Virgin’s Pool: quiet, out of the way, the kind of place you only find if you already know to look for it.

The Story Behind the Piece
The Story Behind the Piece
Each piece begins in our Tenerife studio overlooking the Atlantic. Through anodisation, light itself becomes color — creating blues, violets and subtle gradients directly on the titanium surface. Every texture is finished by hand, making each piece slightly unique.
The Titanium Advantage
The Titanium Advantage
Titanium is exceptionally light, hypoallergenic and highly resistant to corrosion. It is comfortable for sensitive skin and will not tarnish or react to sea water. A material trusted in aerospace and medical applications, chosen here for everyday wear.
Care & Maintenance
Care & Maintenance
Titanium requires very little care. To keep your piece looking its best, simply wash it occasionally with mild soap and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. With normal wear, your jewellery is designed to last for many years.

Marcelina Nicz
Behind INKRU stands Marcelina Nicz — artist, interior architecture graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, and resident of Tenerife. Her work is shaped between the raw character of metal and the fleeting nature of light.
Her greatest inspiration comes from the ocean, its living forms, and the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands. INKRU pieces reflect organic shapes found in nature, the intense island light, and subtle references to the culture and architecture of the islands. She is particularly inspired by the work of César Manrique and his way of uniting art, nature, and architecture into one harmonious whole.
Beyond jewellery design, she is passionate about painting, analogue photography, glass, and 1970s design. Together with her husband, she creates the world of INKRU from their studio in Tenerife, accompanied — and occasionally distracted — by Kusy, the cat quietly observing the creative process.
